Mekong Delta Travel plan a 2 days Off The Beaten Track Mekong River Tour Ho Chi Minh – Cai Be – Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market to suite those who wish to do an authentic and private Mekong River tour of your own for better care.

Mekong Delta Travel guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, and leave for Cai Be by car/van with stop for photos in Tan An town overlooking the beautiful rice fields. On arrival in Cai Be, you will get on the motorized boat to wander into the villages to visit the orchard and fruit plantation.

You will then go on a boat ride to the island through small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta. Visit a family business to see how locals make coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn. Keep boating to the other island to visit the traditional house dating 18 century, and have lunch break with local fresh specialties.

After lunch, we boat head to Can Tho via small waterways for more local daily life discovery and cycle the village for inner local discovery. 

Back to our boat for a break while our boat cruising the Mighty Mekong River toward Can Tho with peaceful and authentic Mekong River on these areas.

We will arrive in Can Tho about 5pm and check into your hotel on arrival follow by free at leisure.

We will walk the local market for city discovery before having our delicious dinner at the Mekong River waterfront local restaurant. 

You will spend the night in Can Tho.

Day 2: Mekong River Tour – Cai Rang Floating Market – Saigon (Breakfast, Lunch)

After breakfast, we boat to along on the Mekong River visiting the amazing Cai Rang floating market.

We will interact into the market for witnessing the authentic Cai Rang floating market activities happening on the River. During the early morning market hours, larger sized boats anchor and create lanes that smaller boats weave in and out.

The waterway becomes a maze of hundreds of boats packed with mango, bananas, papaya, pineapple, and even smuggled goods like cigarettes. Sellers tie their goods to a tall pole so that buyers can see from a distance what they are selling. Have you tried the Vietnamese vermicelli noodle? So, you will go and see how it is made.

You will walk along a village to interact with the local people. Here you have an opportunity to experience how to pass a “Monkey bridge”

Back to our vehicle, we leave Can Tho for Ho Chi Minh City with lunch break at the local restaurant on the way to The City. We will arrive in The City at an estimated arrival time at 4:30pm. End thee services at the meeting point.
