2 days Mekong River Cruise Saigon Ben Tre Can Tho Mango Cruise

Day 1: Ben Tre – Mo Cay – Vung Liem
You’ll leave Saigon early to meet your guide at 10am at Ham Luong River in Ben tre town where you will board your Mango Cruise. Upon boarding your private sampan, your luggage will be brought to your cabin, while you enjoy a refreshing welcome cocktail on the deck and meet the crew members.

A delicious lunch will be served on board.

Our first stop will be the Mo Cay local wet market where the locals come to buy fresh fish, meat, vegetables, as well as other exotic delicacies including rat and snake.  Continue cruising along the canals and stop at a village for a short walk to visit the coconut processing place where they make coconut oils and coconut fiber.

Return to the boat for a cold drink and some time to relax on deck. Lunch will be served on board.  We then head down Vung Liem canal to visit traditional brickworks and the lively town of Vung Liem, with its fascinating Cao Dai and Kh’mer temple.  We will visit these places by bikes.

The boat will then cruise to Tra On where we will stop for the night.  While on board, freshen up, and then head to the deck where you will have a cooking demonstration before enjoying a delicious, 5-course dinner onboard.   The rest of the evening is spent at your leisure.

Day 2: Tra On – Cai Rang – Can Tho
Get up early in the morning to visit Tra On floating market before heading to Can Tho.  Stop at the spectacular Cai Rang floating market, where you will transfer to a smaller boat and mingle amongst the thousands of trading vessels. Feel free to buy yourself fruits or drinks from the local boats.

After your market visit, return to your Mango Cruise, and soak in your surroundings, before being dropped off at Ninh Kieu quay in Can Tho, and preparing for your return to Saigon or your onward trip.
